Bulk Mapping
Bulk Mapping in Fynd Konnect provides a fast, efficient way to link or update a large catalog with their channel-specific identifiers. Instead of manually editing each SKU in the Channel Mapping panel, you can upload a single spreadsheet and apply changes for hundreds or thousands of products in one go.
What Is Product Bulk Mapping?
If you manage an extensive product catalog across multiple marketplaces or storefronts, manually mapping each product becomes tedious and prone to error. Konnect’s Bulk Mapping feature streamlines this process by letting you export, edit, and re-import your product mappings in bulk.
Differences from Manual (Single-Product) Mapping
- Manual Mapping: Ideal for quick, one-off changes or small catalogs.
- Bulk Mapping: Best suited for mass changes—such as updating channel identifiers for hundreds of product items, toggling active/inactive status across multiple SKUs, or applying new item codes after a re-brand.
Initiating Bulk Mapping
Accessing the Bulk Mapping Feature
- Navigate to Products → Channel Mapping in the Konnect left-hand navigation.
- Look for a button or menu option labeled "Bulk Map".

- Select Bulk Map, choose the mapping type, channel, and account for which you want to perform the mapping, and then download the sample file.
Bulk Mapping and Sample Types
Mapping Type:
- Account Specific: Focus on a single channel-account at a time. For example, mapping products to the “Amazon-Mumbai” account will display and update fields relevant only to that account for precise control.
- Universal: Apply the same mapping changes across multiple accounts or channels simultaneously. (Upcoming Feature)
Choose a Channel & Account: If you have multiple channels (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, or a custom channel), select the specific channel and account (e.g., Amazon-Mumbai vs. Amazon-Delhi) for the bulk operation.

- Sample Types:
- All Products: The sample file includes every product in your Fynd Commerce catalog.
- Mapped-Only: Only those products already mapped to at least one channel.
- Unmapped-Only: Products not yet mapped to any channel.

After selecting your Mapping Type, Channel, and Account, click "Download Sample File." You will receive an XLSX file pre-populated with product details from Fynd Commerce, such as:
- Product Name: The product's name.
- SKU / Seller Identifier: The unique product code from Fynd Commerce for identification.
- Brand ID: The identifier representing the brand for the specific channel.
- Item ID: A unique product-level identifier, independent of size variants.
- Item Code: A distinct code used for inventory tracking in Fynd Commerce.
- Size: The variant dimension for products available in multiple sizes.
- Product Status: Indicates whether the product should be marked as Active or Inactive on that channel, controlling its availability on the marketplace.
- Channel Identifier: The code to be assigned to the product on the external channel. Fill this field to map it to the corresponding Seller Identifier in Fynd Commerce.
Note: The required Channel Identifier label may differ by channel.
Uploading & Validating the File
- Return to the Bulk Map option in Channel Mapping Panel.
- Click Upload File or drag & drop your updated spreadsheet.

- Konnect will automatically validate the file format, checking headers, required columns, and data types.

- Once the file is successfully validated by Konnect, the products will be mapped in bulk.
Handling Errors & Conflicts
- If you encounter errors like missing mandatory columns or an invalid Channel Identifier, correct your spreadsheet and re-upload.
- If some rows conflict with existing data (e.g., duplications or status conflicts), Konnect highlights them in the preview. Re-upload the file after correcting these issues.

Ensure your file adheres to the structure of the sample. Adding extra columns or rearranging headers will cause the upload to fail.
Finalizing Bulk Mapping
Once you are satisfied with the validated rows:
- Click Confirm to initiate the bulk mapping process.
- Konnect will display the status of the bulk mapping (e.g., Pending, Success, or Failed) in the Bulk Mapping History section once the file is uploaded and processed.
Bulk Mapping History
- After initiating Bulk Mapping, review all past attempts in the Bulk Mapping History section, found in the Channel Mapping Kebab (⋮) Menu.

- In the Bulk Mapping History pane, you will find an overview of all completed or in-progress bulk mappings for each channel. For every entry, you can quickly see:
- Channel Name & Account Name
- Products Mapped (mapped/total)
- Triggered By (the user who initiated the job)
- Start/End Date & Time
- Status (e.g., In-Progress, Success, Failed)
Depending on the mapping's status, you can:
- Retry the bulk mapping
- Download the processed file
- View the Summary of the bulk mapping results

- Viewing Bulk Mapping Summaries: Each row in the history includes an option to see additional details—such as timestamps for when bulk mapping began and finished, the total number of products mapped, and a detailed product-by-product breakdown. The summary typically includes:
- Channel Product Name & Channel Identifier
- Product Name & Seller Identifier
- Mapped or Unmapped status per product
You can also search within this summary by product name or identifier to locate specific SKUs.
