Inventory Snapshots

Inventory Snapshots in Konnect offer a comprehensive view of your inventory flow—from the stock received from supply channels, updated within Fynd Commerce, and, after applying buffer stock and product status adjustments, pushed to marketplace channels. They serve as powerful auditing tools, enabling you to track and analyze each step of the inventory process across various channels such as marketplaces, webstores, ERP, WMS, POS, and custom channels. These reports could help you:

  • Review: Examine how and when inventory updates were sent or received.
  • Reports: Access aggregated reports by date or product.
  • Verification: Confirm that past updates match expected stock levels in Fynd Commerce and connected channels.
Tip

Using Inventory Snapshots regularly can help you catch unexpected discrepancies early—before they lead to overselling, underselling, or other stock-related issues.

Side-by-Side Inventory Comparison

Within each inventory snapshot, Konnect displays Fynd Commerce Inventory alongside the Channel’s Inventory data. This view enables you to quickly verify alignment or spot mismatches at a glance:

  1. Fynd Commerce Inventory:

    • Sellable: Inventory currently available to fulfill orders.
    • Committed: Stock reserved for open or just-closed orders.
    • Damaged: Units not sellable due to quality or defect issues.
  2. Channel Inventory:

    • Location Code: Identifies the warehouse or store location recognized by the channel.
    • Inventory (on Channel): The channel’s reported stock for that location.
    • Buffer Stock (if any): The quantity withheld from being pushed to the channel to avoid overselling.
    • Inventory Sent: The amount of inventory actually pushed to the channel after subtracting the buffer.
    • Inventory Sent Date: Timestamp indicating when Konnect last updated the channel with that stock figure.
    • Status: Displays whether the push event (or sync) was Success or Failed.

Benefits

  1. Immediate Visibility: Confirm in one panel whether the channel’s available stock matches Fynd Commerce’s sellable inventory.
  2. Faster Troubleshooting: Significant differences between “Inventory Sent” and “Sellable” may indicate a large buffer or a failed sync event.
  3. Audit & Historical Tracking: Reviewing these fields over time helps you understand how Fynd Commerce inventory changes reflect on each channel’s listing, preventing overselling or underselling.

Export Function

As with other Konnect panels, you can export the current snapshot data to a .xlsx file for offline analysis or record-keeping.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify if updates on a particular date led to stock anomalies.

Setting Date/Time Filters:

  1. Navigate to ProductsInventory SnapshotsDate-wise Reports.
  2. Select Start/End Date & Time: This range captures all snapshot events—pushes, pulls, or updates—across channels.
  3. Click Download to generate the inventory snapshot report in the selected time frame.

Product-wise Inventory Snapshot Reports

For deeper analysis of a single product’s activity over time, Product-wise Reports let you isolate inventory snapshots specific to that SKU.

How Product-wise Reports Help:

  • Optimize Stock Distribution: Analyze the data to see if some products are consistently oversent to one channel while being undersupplied in another. This insight allows you to rebalance your inventory across channels for more efficient distribution.
  • Identify Slow-moving Inventory: Determine if certain products are held in inventory too long without being pushed to demand channels. Recognizing these patterns can help you adjust marketing and pricing strategies to move stagnant stock.
  • Forecast Demand: By evaluating the historical inventory flow for individual products, you can identify trends and forecast future demand. This enables you to set more accurate restock levels and reduce the risk of stockouts or overstocks.

Selecting Product & Time Range

  1. Navigate to Products → Inventory Snapshots → Product-wise Reports.
  2. Search for the Product: Enter its Fynd Seller Identifier or name.
  3. Set Date/Time Range: Specify the time span for which you want to retrieve inventory flow data for the selected product. For example, you might choose the last 24 hours or the past 7 days. The report will then display all SKUs updated during that period, providing a complete record of the product’s inventory movement from beginning to end.
  4. Click Download to generate the inventory snapshot report for the selected product within the chosen time frame.
