FirstCry Channel

FirstCry is a leading Indian omni-channel marketplace focused on mother and baby care products. This configuration guide outlines the steps and features required to seamlessly connect to the FirstCry PPMP model (DSPICKUP) using Fynd Konnect. It covers the onboarding flow, required configurations, key processes, and troubleshooting.

Role of Fynd Konnect & Supported Touchpoints

Fynd Konnect serves as the central platform between sellers and FirstCry, offering a plug-and-play channel to enable:

Auto SKU Mapping & Bulk Upload

Use Auto Map or Bulk Map in Fynd Konnect to match your SKUs with FirstCry, avoiding manual edits and speeding up onboarding.

Real-time Inventory Sync

Enable Inventory Sync in the channel settings, and Konnect keeps FirstCry stock levels up to date in near real time, preventing both overselling and underselling.

Inventory Reconciliation

The Reconciliation panel compares quantities in Fynd Konnect and FirstCry, highlights deltas, and lets you force-reconcile when needed, scoped to the selected FirstCry account.

Order Creation

Konnect polls newly created shipments from FirstCry every five minutes and imports them into your Fynd Commerce account.

Labels & Invoices

Upon confirmation, Fynd Konnect can fetch FirstCry shipping labels and pull customer invoices.

End-to-End Status Sync

Forward, customer return, and RTO flows via Fynd Konnect keep every status in lockstep between Fynd Commerce and FirstCry.

Return, RTO & Exchange Sync

Enable Return Sync to ingest customer returns, courier RTOs, and exchange flows so that reverse logistics stay aligned automatically. They are tracked via SR API using Replacement PO Ids.

Auto or Manual Cancellation

FirstCry shipments can be canceled (entirely or per line item) via Fynd Commerce; customer or seller cancellations sync back automatically via Fynd Konnect.

Multi-seller & Multi-location

Map multiple FirstCry seller accounts and warehouses or stores under a single company.

Alerts & Monitoring

The Channel Summary shows revenue, failed syncs, and Last Sync time, while inventory and order logs provide a 30-day audit trail for quick troubleshooting.

Process Flow Summary

Authentication & Credential Validation - Sellers provide FirstCry Vendor Portal credentials to establish API connection.
Item Sync & Mapping - Auto Map or Bulk Map SKUs with FirstCry catalog, ensuring mandatory fields are populated.
Real-time Inventory Updates - Automated sync keeps stock levels consistent across platforms with safety thresholds.
Order Polling (every 5 mins) - System polls FirstCry for new shipments and imports them into Fynd Commerce.
Order Confirmation & Packing - Orders auto-confirm based on inventory availability and generate packing documentation.
Invoice/Label Fetch from FirstCry (S3 links) - Retrieves shipping labels and customer invoices for order processing.
Order Status Updates (Shipped → Delivered) - Real-time tracking updates flow bidirectionally between platforms.
Return, Exchange & Cancellation Polling - Processes returns, RTOs, and cancellations.

Differences from Standard Marketplace Channels

No API for Seller Cancellations - Seller-initiated cancellations must be done manually in the Fynd Commerce.
No Store Hopping Allowed - Orders are locked to initially assigned fulfillment location and cannot be transferred despite inventory availability.
No Price Update API - Price changes must be applied manually both in the FirstCry Vendor Portal and Fynd Commerce.
Exchange Orders Require Manual Action - Exchange orders remain pending until original item is physically picked up.
Manufacturing/Expiry Dates Mandatory - Required for all FMCG SKUs including baby food, health products, and toiletries.
